Africa, the fastest-growing population in the world, has enormous potential as a creative market but is still hampered by deep gaps in skills, infrastructure, and funding, which affects the quality of works produced and has slowed the growth of the industry, years after the first set of creative startups emerged.

The Africacomicade Gamathon is Africa’s largest convention of digital creatives in the games, animation, comics, and XR industry, creating a platform for them to showcase their works, network, and find opportunities for learning, collaboration and funding.

It is a two weeks hybrid event, allowing participation from across the globe, virtually , and rounding up with a physical expo event in Lagos, Nigeria.

It consists of a showcase of creative works, panel sessions, pitch competitions, exhibitions, a game jam. and more.
