NAHW NIGERIA 2024 South West
The National Arts in Health Week Nigeria was inspired by the passion of artists and health practitioners in Nigeria to create a community where creativity can be fully utilized for health and well-being. To actualize this goal, the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria declared on the occasion of the inaugural National Arts in Health Conference held in Lagos on May 26, 2021, to establish the National Arts in Week in Nigeria considering the development and creative health programming in the country.
The 2024 edition, focused on Arts and Environment, is to be hosted by the Scrap Art Museum in collaboration with the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Ministry of Health and the WHO-Jameel Arts and Health Lab.
Arts have proven to be a powerful tool in promoting the health and happiness of communities. By repurposing materials that would otherwise contribute to pollution, artists have not only generated new ideas but also discovered innovative ways of expressing themselves. This has led to a significant contribution towards protecting the earth’s ecology and ensuring the safety and well-being of community members.
