Xbox Game Camp Africa is back for its third edition in 2025, continuing its mission to support, empower, and spotlight game development talent across the African continent .
Founded in 2020 on the belief that extraordinary talent exists everywhere , Xbox Game Camp was created to nurture the next generation of creators, storytellers, and game studios , helping them unlock their potential, build sustainable businesses, and grow thriving local game development communities.
Building on the momentum of previous cohorts, the 2025 program will focus on hands-on mentorship, technical tools, and project support , guiding teams from early-stage ideation through prototyping and pitching . This year’s edition is delivered in partnership with ID@Xbox and the Developer Acceleration Program (DAP) .
Selected studios will work closely with Team Xbox mentors , receiving direct technical guidance, creative feedback, and strategic insights to refine both their games and business models .
The announcement was made on December 4 in Cape Town, South Africa , in collaboration with Africa Games Week . The program will run virtually for three months starting in March , ensuring wider access for developers across the region.
